La terre ancestrale des Audet-Lapointe à l'île d'Orléans de 1667 à 2019

Click to zoom the imageIn this new publication (in French only; unofficial translation: "The Audet-Lapointe ancestral land on Île d'Orleans from 1667 to 2019"), officially launched during the annual gathering of the Audet dit Lapointe Association on 24 August 2019 in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC, the author, Guy Saint-Hilaire, goes through the history, up to this year, of the land that the ancestor Nicolas was granted on the Island of Orleans in 1667, that four consecutive generations of Audet-Lapointe have inhabited, and which has changed significantly over the past 350 years.  He demonstrates where that land is situated  today in relation to current landmarks, exposes how it was broken up  in the middle of the 18th century, and identifies all owners who have come and gone so far on its various components, describing how they have acquired them and insinuating the intentions that several of them had when they acquired them. Those interested in knowing what remains of the contribution of their ancestor Nicolas will perhaps find some elements of an answer.

This publication is now available from the ADNAL Secretariat (tel.: 450-467-9453 or at a cost of $15 plus shipping, if necessary.
